  1. How do I get a quote?

    You can get a fast and accurate quote by calling, emailing, or faxing your enquiry to us at sales@midthermlaser.co.uk.
    We accept the following file formats: dxf, dwg, ipt, pdf, stp.
    We can also reverse engineer from some samples and can work to most hand drawn sketches.

  2. What materials and thicknesses can you cut?

    We can cut a wide range of materials, including: 
    Mild steel (S275/S355) 0.5mm-30mm thick
    Stainless Steel
    (304/316/430) – 0.5mm – 30mm thick, plus other non-standard grades and finishes
    Aluminium (1050/5251/5083/6082) – 0.5mm – 30mm thick, plus other non-standard grades
    Other various metals can be cut such as brass, copper, hardox and titanium.
    Please note, not all thicknesses stated are stock.

  3. Do you do one-off jobs?

    Yes! We regularly cut unique, single parts.
    Our minimum order charge is £60, and we can handle low-volume and one-off prototypes up to high volume production.

  4. What is the largest sheet you can cut?

    Our maximum bed size is 4000mm x 2000mm.
    We require a small border around the parts to maintain accuracy, which varies depending on material thickness.

  5. Can I supply my own material?

    Yes! Customers can supply their own sheets. Materials must be square, clean, and rust free.
    The minimum size we can cut is approximately 300mm x 300mm. Please note this is cut at customers’ risk.

  6. Do you offer any secondary processes after laser cutting?

    Yes! We can provide additional finishing services:

  7. Do you offer a premium service?

    Yes! We offer a 24-hour turnaround on laser cut parts, subject to material availability at time of ordering. Please speak to our production team if you need your order quicker than the standard lead time.

  8. Can you deliver my parts?

    Yes! We have three vans for local deliveries and also use couriers for UK-wide deliveries.

  9. What quality assurances do you have?

    We are ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 certified.
    You can view and download our certificates here.

  10. Do you offer CE marking?

    Yes! We provide BS EN 1090 UKCA certification up to and including EXC 4 on S275, S355, 304 and 316 materials only. Test certificates can also be supplied for any material on request.
